Everything an editor does.
On every video.
Each part of the edit has its own track in VidLift, the same tracks you saw under the Halifax video.
-
Footage
Real footage, archive photos and maps, gathered for every line of the script, with AI images when nothing real fits. Each candidate is checked against what the voice is saying, and only the best fit makes the cut.
-
Motion graphics
Date cards, counters, timelines, maps, satellite views, real news headlines and spec sheets, placed where the script calls for them and drawn in the template's style.
-
Captions
Timed word by word to the voice, with key words highlighted. They step aside when a graphic is on screen, and any line can be fixed in the caption editor.
-
Voice
Natural voices that run free on your own computer. Or connect the premium voice service your channel already uses.
-
Music and sound
Music that changes with each chapter and dips under the voice. Whooshes, hits and risers land on the cuts.
-
Pacing
Cuts fall on the narration's phrases. The first minute is edited hardest to hold viewers, then the pace settles to suit the niche.
Seventeen templates
A template sets the look, voice, pacing, graphics, music and captions for one kind of channel. Each clip below came out of VidLift.

Questions
Do I need a powerful computer?
No. Any Windows 10 or 11 PC or recent Mac with about 15 GB free will do. An NVIDIA graphics card makes VidLift much faster. Without one, you can rent a cloud GPU from inside the app for 5 to 10 cents an hour.
What else will I pay for?
Only the AI services you connect, paid on your own API keys. Our recent videos came to about 17 cents per finished minute. Footage costs nothing extra, and the built-in voices run free on your computer.
Who owns the videos?
You do. VidLift makes and keeps everything on your own computer, under your own accounts.
Do I need Claude Code, Codex or any coding?
No. VidLift is a finished app, not a project you build with a coding agent. You download one small zip, open it and press "Install everything". From then on you paste a script and press one button. There's no terminal, no code and nothing to fix.
